Job Description
Transfer Center Coordinator Registered Nurse Location Remote in Springfield, MO : Summary Job Summary The Transfer Center Coordinator coordinates the transfer and acceptance of patients. The position collects clinical information relative to a transfer request and then facilitates the transfer by matching the patient's clinical needs to the facility with bed capacity and service capability. The position works in collaboration with multiple departments within each hospital to foster relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff. The position works closely with Patient Access Coordinator and leadership team at each facility to identify, trend, and report barriers to patient throughput. Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience Preferred: Five years of clinical experience and at least one year of experience in Emergency Services, Case Management, Pre-Hospital, Flight Nursing, or a Transfer Center. Skills Excellent interpersonal communication and multitasking Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Ability to efficiently use the electronic medical record Excellent customer service skills Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines. Goal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development. Maintains organizational and priority setting skills.
