Job Description

Staff Management Group is seeking a Scale Operator for our client in Randolph, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 7:30AM - 4PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $25 / hour

Job Summary:

The Scale Operator plays a key role in production by precisely measuring and preparing raw materials for use in manufacturing or compounding. This position involves using industrial scales and equipment to ensure each batch is prepared according to detailed production instructions and schedules, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately weigh raw materials based on production requirements and batch instructions.
• Safely operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Handle and move raw materials with care, ensuring correct staging and storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pre-weigh area.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality control procedures at all times. 

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience in pre-weighing or material handling is required.
• Must be able to operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck; forklift certification is preferred.
• English proficiency is required for understanding instructions and completing documentation.
• Must have solid basic math skills for accurate weight measurements and calculations.
• Dependable transportation to and from the job site is required.
• Must complete an interview prior to employment.
