Currently we have an immediate need to add an experienced:

Operational Systems Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

We are looking for a strong, mid-level, technical analyst looking to apply a multi-disciplined approach towards applying cybersecurity tactics to both offensive and defensive perspectives. You'll be part of a multi-faceted team of computer operators, SME's, and systems experts with a joint task of developing web-based systems that improve the efficiency, usability, automation and standardization of our project. 

The appropriate candidate should have experience with the following:

• Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
• Significant experience with both Python, Ruby and Java language software development.
• 5+ years of specific experience working in software engineering, application development and/or web application development and deployment.
• Proficient in design and initial implementation of new applications and scripts.
• Experience adapting, porting, and maintaining existing scripts and applications.
• Experience with identification and implementation of design improvements and functional automation for efficiency (e.g., Infrastructure automation, Data automation, integration with existing APIs).
• Experience with Java Spring Boot framework.
• Experience using software version control (e.g., git).
• Experience with implementation and utilization of REST APIs, and with structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with Dataflow / ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework and/or data engineering to move and process data.
• Familiarity with data warehousing principles, software and tools: Apache, HDFS, Snowflake, Solr/ElasticSearch, MySQL, Postgres, JSON, etc.

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing software for cyber threat hunting applications.
• Ability to understand user requirements and develop those requirements into solutions.
• Ability to research, analyze, prioritize, problem solve, and work several tasks concurrently with minimum supervision.
