Labor & Employment Associate Attorney (Workplace Class Action)

Location: Philadelphia, PA; North Jersey, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Washington, D.C.; Wilmington, DE

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly-motivated Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their Employment, Labor, Benefits, and Immigration Practice Group , focusing on Workplace Class Action matters. This position is open to any of their East Coast offices: Baltimore ; Philadelphia ; New Jersey ; Washington, D.C. ; or Wilmington .

Candidate Profile:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Bar Admission required in the jurisdiction of practice.
• 4–6 years of substantive experience in complex employment litigation , with an emphasis on defending wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits .
• Significant experience conducting witness interviews and taking and defending depositions .
• Trial experience is preferable.
• Additional experience counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance , drafting workplace policies , and assisting with employment training programs is a plus.
• Superior research skills and exceptional writing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in complex wage and hour class and collective actions and other employment-related litigation.
• Conduct witness interviews and manage discovery processes, including depositions.
• Provide strategic advice on federal and state employment law compliance.
• Draft workplace policies and procedures and assist with client training programs.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of attorneys while maintaining independence in managing assignments.

*Target pay for this role in Philadelphia is $275,000–$335,000. Actual pay, for all offices, will be determined by a multitude of factors including current business needs, relevant experience, skill sets, and market factors, among others.*
