Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Burlington, WA

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Department: Production Operations

Position Overview

A growing manufacturer in the renewable energy sector is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and optimize inventory operations. In this role, you will oversee inventory control processes, support operational efficiency, and ensure accurate stock management across departments. Your experience in supply chain or warehouse environments will be essential in minimizing discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to meet inventory control goals and recommend process improvements.
  • Train team members on inventory procedures and update processes as needed.
  • Monitor procurement requests and verify accuracy of incoming inventory.
  • Manage inventory and supply chain operations in line with internal standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and resolve discrepancies (e.g., shortages or overages).
  • Review inventory documentation and investigate stock variances.
  • Propose and implement improvements to inventory workflows and cost efficiency.
  • Respond to order inquiries, analyze demand data, and process shipments.
  • Ensure production requirements align with inventory availability for timely fulfillment.
  • Track key inventory metrics: accuracy, returns, purchase patterns, and defective items.
  • Generate inventory reports and review with management as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Support cross-departmental coordination to meet company objectives.
  • Process inventory movements and maintain accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) consumption records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in tracking inventory and generating reports.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Strong analytical and math skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations.
  • Prior experience in warehousing or logistics environments.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Flexibility with work hours and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
