Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Communications to lead and enhance our internal and external communication strategies. This leadership role involves overseeing all communication initiatives to ensure consistent and positive messaging that aligns with Podium's mission and values.

What you'll be doing:

• Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that effectively convey Podium's objectives and enhance our brand presence.

• Media Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with media outlets to promote Podium's initiatives, ensuring accurate and favorable coverage.

• Content Oversight: Supervise the creation and quality control of all communication materials, including press releases, internal newsletters, and digital content, maintaining consistency in messaging and branding.

• Crisis Management: Lead the response to any public relations crises, formulating strategies to address and mitigate issues promptly and professionally.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure unified messaging and support organizational goals through effective communication.

What you'll need to flourish:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years in communications or public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing teams and leading communication strategies at a corporate level.

• Media Expertise: Strong network within media circles and a track record of securing positive media coverage.

• Crisis Communication: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication abilities, with an aptitude for crafting compelling messages.

Compensation: $24,892 Monthly - Salary for this role is commensurate with prior experience
