Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Government Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Government Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, providing insights, and supporting decision-making processes. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include developing artifacts such as financial reports, budget variance analysis, business cases, resource forecasting, and cost benefit analysis; and analyzing products and procedures for compliance, accounting principles, and system standards.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cost benefit loss analysis- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders
- Perform budget variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for financial planning and forecasting- Utilize financial modeling techniques to support strategic initiatives and business decisions- Develop and maintain financial models and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data-driven insights- Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications: - B.S. in business, finance or related degree
- 5+ years of experience managing and reporting IT finances for a Federal agency(ies); Transportation agency a plus
- 3 years of experience in federal financial management and reporting
