As we scale our operations and sharpen our brand presence, were seeking a Freelance Marketing Project Manager to manage our marketing strategy and work with subcontracted teams. This role is fully remote, and you will be instrumental in coordinating with freelancers and external marketing firms.


Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic, organized, and proactive individual who can manage and direct subcontracted teams, such as freelancers and external marketing agencies. Rather than launching campaigns directly, your role will involve overseeing and guiding the work of freelancers or marketing companies, ensuring they understand our objectives and assisting them in implementing different marketing campaigns and efforts.

For example, you may hire a social media marketing specialist and will be responsible for managing their progress, providing feedback, and ensuring that they meet the goals and standards we set.


Responsibilities


  • Manage External Vendors:
    Work closely with freelancers, marketing firms, and agencies to direct and oversee their work in implementing our marketing strategies.

  • Campaign Guidance: Provide clear instructions and direction for the implementation of marketing campaigns (social media, SEO, paid ads, etc.) through external partners, ensuring they understand our goals and deliver accordingly.

  • Monitor Progress: Track the progress of freelancers and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with our expectations.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all marketing efforts reflect our brand identity and messaging, regardless of the team executing the work.

  • Content Coordination: Assist in coordinating content creation (social media posts, job site photos, videos, etc.), directing freelancers or agencies to meet our content needs.

  • Campaign Reporting: Monitor the performance of campaigns executed by external teams, ensuring they meet KPIs and provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on trends in the solar, electrical, and home services sectors to help guide marketing strategies and messaging.


Ideal Candidate


  • Experience
    in freelance marketing, project management, or remote marketing roles, preferably in the trades, construction, solar, or home services sectors.

  • Proven ability to manage and direct external vendors , freelancers, and agencies.

  • Experience with managing freelancers or agencies on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, etc.

  • Familiarity with digital advertising tools like Google Ads Manager , Facebook/Instagram Ads , Mailchimp (or similar), and basic analytics tools .

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills .

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • East Coast time zone availability (or flexibility to work during EST business hours) preferred.
