Since our launch in 2017, our tools and services have been used on hundreds of movie and game projects for the largest studios such as Marvel, Netflix, Warner Bros, HBO, EA, Ubisoft, Naughty Dog, 2K Games as well as thousands of independent artists and hobbyists in more than 150 countries. In 2023 we launched Cargo, our 3D asset browser, to support artists and the creative process by providing effortless access to our extensive library of over 15,000 models and materials and seamless integration with 3D software and game engines. KitBash3D is seeking a Community Marketing Specialist to join our growing global team and help make our mission a reality by building deep connections with the global 3D artist community, amplifying the voices of creators, and driving organic awareness and engagement across our social platforms and campaigns. This role reports to the Marketing Campaign Manager and will collaborate closely with our Content, Customer Support, Product, and broader Marketing teams.

In this role, you'll play a key role in strengthening our brand's presence in the industry through social media, community engagement, influencer partnerships, and creative campaigns, helping to grow our audience and empower artists around the world.

Location:  This position can be remote or hybrid and is open to candidates based in CA, IL, IN, FL, OR, SC, TX, TN, WA, and WI. Strong preference for candidates in the Portland, OR area who can work hybrid from our Portland headquarters.

Responsibilities:

Strengthen Community Engagement & Advocacy

• Build and manage relationships with influencers, creators, and community advocates
• Actively engage with followers across social media platforms
• Participate in and monitor key online communities (Discord, Reddit, etc.) to identify trends and conversation opportunities
• Plan, execute, and measure the success of social and community-led brand campaigns

Own Social Media & Build Brand Visibility

• Own day-to-day social media management including scheduling, copywriting, posting, and engagement
• Contribute to community and social media strategy by sharing insights from day-to-day execution, participating in planning sessions, and helping refine campaign ideas
• Launch and support community-driven campaigns and activations (e.g. challenges, contests, collaborations)
• Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints
• Create and write unique, engaging content that is aligned cross-functionally with the marketing content calendar, product roadmap, and more

Enable & Inspire the Artist Community

• Collaborate with internal and external partners on content that educates, inspires, and supports 3D artists while building awareness of the KitBash3D brand
• Source and share user-generated content to highlight community work
• Coordinate with support, content, and product teams to ensure community voices and needs are reflected in storytelling

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in social media, community marketing, and/or influencer marketing 
• Proven ability to learn, understand, and engage with different industries and audiences 
• Comfortable contributing ideas and experience to the Marketing team and beyond 
• Ability to drive brand awareness and consumer engagement across social channels
• A passion for storytelling, creativity, and empowering artists
• Highly accountable - we believe that taking ownership is the key to succeeding as a team and we hope you do too!
• Strong cross-departmental collaboration skills - you're a pro at partnering and communicating across various organizational levels
• Appetite for start-up culture, you are a quick learner and self-starter
• Passionate about personal development and growth - you get excited about new challenges and solving problems

Bonus Points: 

• Strong understanding of the 3D / VFX / digital art community and ecosystem
• Familiarity with 3D tools (Unreal, Blender, Cinema4D, etc.) and/or working with creative pipelines
• Experience with Asana, AgoraPulse, Whimsical, and Ortto

What We Offer

• Competitive salary - We believe in transparency and fairness in our hiring process. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 per year . Offers will generally fall within this range and take into account various factors including the responsibilities of the position, location of the applicant, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other relevant qualifications of the applicant. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, regardless of where they may fall within the stated range.
