As a Child Care Education Administrator (Public Administration) you will be responsible for: + Meeting all Head Start Performance Standards and State's Child Development Division (CDD) regulations for our Venice Family Clinic's Early Head Start Program's Family Child Care and Center Based option. + Handling enrollment of children into the program, maintaining/monitoring the wait list, and working with appropriate staff to recruit as necessary. + Meeting with and monitoring child care providers. + Managing the program's State CDD child care contract. _Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are core values of the Venice Family Clinic. We believe the professional and clinical environments are enhanced when diverse groups of people with diverse ideas come together._ Salary Range: $49,900.00 - $93,100.00 Annual _Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23_ _minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year)._ 1. _As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of 'health care_ _services,' which means 'patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care'._ 2. _Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria._ Qualifications Required: + California State Child Development Program Director permit. + Excellent computer skills, including work experience with databases & creating Excel spreadsheets. + Good verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. + Excellent organizational skills, and demonstrated skills necessary for reporting, monitoring and compliance. Preferred: + Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. + Administrative experience with child care programs serving infants and toddlers, and administrative experience managing a State Child Care grant in California. + Experience with Head Start and/or Early Head Start. + Knowledge of local and state health, safety and licensing regulations for child care facilities. + Experience working with low-income families, and a strong commitment to the field of child and family development services. + Bilingual (Spanish-English) language skills.
